The trip at a glance

Choose this when you want a day outside the city without building a long sightseeing checklist. The suggested plan pairs one Khandala viewpoint area with time in Lonavala and a meal break. A second viewpoint is optional; access, visibility and weekend traffic decide whether it belongs in the day. Tell us whether your group prefers photographs, a short walk or more time over lunch, and we will write the stop list around that priority.

Best for
Families wanting a manageable day out · Friends choosing photographs over a trek · Visitors with one free day
Pickup region
Mumbai · Thane · Navi Mumbai · Kalyan · Surrounding MMR — exact pickup to be checked
Departure guidance
Consider a 06:00–07:00 pickup; outer-MMR pickups or a hard evening return may need a different start. This is a suggested planning window in IST, not a scheduled departure or arrival promise; confirm against the exact pickup, date and route.

Suggested itinerary

Stops and timing are agreed before booking, subject to access, official schedules and road conditions.

  1. Day 1

    A few stops, then home

    • MMR pickup and road breakfast break
    • One permitted Khandala viewpoint area
    • Lonavala meal and town stop
    • One further Lonavala viewpoint only if agreed and feasible
    • Return to the agreed MMR drop

Shortlist two outdoor stops at most. Drop the optional stop if roads, queues or visibility consume the buffer.

Pickup, route & timing notes

Share your suburb and a pickup pin. An Andheri pickup and a Kalyan or Panvel pickup do not have the same access distance or fare.

The outbound approach and first stop depend on your MMR pickup. Confirm a single loop before departure; a Rajmachi or Lohagad trek is a different itinerary.

Before confirming: Viewpoint access and visibility can change. Waterfall flow and dam access are not promised; do not plan water entry or cliff-edge photographs as part of this cab trip.

Choose the car around your group

Dzire

Up to four passengers, with luggage suitability checked for the actual car. A practical option for smaller groups.

Ertiga

Up to six passengers, subject to luggage fit. With all passenger seats occupied, bag space is limited. Share your actual bag count.

Vehicles are subject to availability. Mention children, mobility needs and child-seat requirements before accepting the quote.

Before you book

Can we add Bhushi Dam or several viewpoints?

Ask before booking. We will check the dated access rules and time available; adding stops may require a different duty window and revised fare.

Does this include a trek to Rajmachi or Lohagad?

No. This plan is a road trip with short sightseeing stops. A trek needs separate timing, access planning and any guide arrangements.

Can we start late and still return the same evening?

Possibly with fewer stops. Share your latest acceptable return time first so we can check whether a useful day remains.
